Do vaginal medications affect the effectiveness of the ring NuvaRing?
Can pimafucort cream and lactovaginal gel damage the puck nuvaring and affect its operation?
I mean, if a little bit of these preparations get into the vagina (e.g. when correcting a ring that has just slipped out), can it somehow negatively affect the functioning of the ring?
Due to the infection, the doctor recommended these preparations to me by phone, but I did not ask exactly. Of course, I use them externally, locally for irritation and not inside the vagina.

Produkt leczniczy Lactovaginal występuje w postaci globulek dopochwowych i nie wpływa na skuteczność działania krążka dopochwowego NuvaRing.
Badanie farmakokinetyczne dowiodły, że leki przeciwgrzybicze stosowane dopochwowo nie powinny wpływać na skuteczność antykoncepcyjną i bezpieczeństwo stosowania NuvaRing. Jedynie w przypadku jednoczesnego stosowania globulek przeciwgrzybiczych ryzyko uszkodzenia być nieznacznie zwiększone. Tak więc, stosując krem Pimafucort zgodnie z zaleceniami, ryzyko uszkodzenia krążka jest znikome. Niewielkie ilości, które dostaną się do pochwy nie powinny mieć wpływu na skuteczność antykoncepcyjną.
