Good morning. The dietician prescribed me Lipoform 3kap. per day in place of Atoris 20mg. Is 3 capsules not a lot compared to the recommendations in the leaflet. I'm 66 years old, insulin resistance.

One capsule of Lipiforma Plus currently contains 2.5 - 2.99 mg of monacolin K (statins of natural origin). The documented effect is for a dose of 10 mg (and this is the monacolin content contained in plant-based cholesterol products before the EU changes in 2022). The dosage recommended by the dietician is justified in this case. Due to the mechanism of action of monacolin K (it is a short-acting statin), it is usually recommended to take the preparation in the evening.
