Sulovas (sulodexide) can be used long-term, but it is usually a controlled and clinically tailored therapy.
In the treatment of chronic obstructive arterial disease of the lower limbs and chronic venous insufficiency, therapy may last up to 6 months after the initial parenteral phase. In the prevention of recurrence of venous thromboembolism, Sulovas is used orally after the end of standard anticoagulant therapy for a long time. For other indications, such as diabetic retinopathy or venous ulcers, the duration of therapy varies and should be determined by your doctor.
