Can Agomelatine cause back pain that increases at night after a few months of use?

I have been taking agomelatine for 4 months. Can it cause back pain? They hurt, especially at night, during the day I hardly feel it, but at night I can't sleep because of it. I have already taken agomelatine for 1.5 years and I have not had such symptoms, is it possible that this is a side effect for so long? I will add that I did X-ray and MRI and nothing serious was shown.

Agomelatine can cause back pain as one of the more common side effects when using the drug.

Back pain is mentioned in the leaflets and side effect reports, although it usually appears in the early weeks of treatment and is mild to moderate. However, the possibility of back pain after a longer period of use, such as 4 months, is not completely excluded.

If the pain is bothersome and affects sleep, and imaging tests (X-ray, MRI) have not shown other causes, it is worth reporting this symptom to your doctor. It may also be helpful to consider other sources of pain or consult with a view to possibly changing therapy
