Can long-term use of Elocom ointment for palmoplantar psoriasis lead to remission?
Hello, Elokom C ointment for palmar plantar psoriasis - a year and a half without visible remission, previously I used Belogent, Triderm, Daivobet, phototherapy and there was no improvement - hyperkeratosis, cracking, peeling, itching. Can Elokom S ointment help me achieve remission?

Elocom (mometasone) ointment is a powerful corticosteroid and can provide relief from psoriasis symptoms, however, long-term use, especially without results, can lead to side effects such as thinning of the skin.
Since, despite many therapies, including Elocom, you have not achieved remission, it is worth considering a dermatological consultation towards systemic therapy (e.g. methotrexate, biological antipsoriatic drugs). Treatment should be individually selected and regularly monitored.
