No, two 1.5 mg Trulicity syringes (dulaglutide) should not be given as a substitute for one 3 mg syringe.
Each dose of Trulicity (1.5 mg, 3 mg, 4.5 mg) is a separate, ready-to-use disposable syringe. It is not recommended to combine or add doses from several syringes – this is not in line with the manufacturer's recommendations and can lead to dosage errors, as well as an increased risk of side effects. The dosage of Trulicity is strictly fixed – each dose has a specific pharmacokinetic profile, which can be disturbed by the administration of two smaller doses instead of one larger one.
