Can I use Xifaxan, Nystatin and Enterol at the same time, and should I keep the spacing between them?
12.99 zł

Hello.
I am being treated for SIBO with Xifaxan 4x 400 mg. In addition, I take enterol. After 3 days, I noticed an intensified white-yellow coating on the tongue, impossible to clean, which is getting worse day by day. The doctor prescribed me additional Nystatin Teva 100,000 IU 4x1 ml for 7 days. For 7 more days I also have to take xifaxan. Can xifaxan, nystatin and enterol be taken together or should you keep a distance.

It is safe to use Xifaxan (rifaximin), Nystatin and Enterol at the same time, as there are no significant interactions between these drugs.

However, it is recommended that there is at least an hour between taking Xifaxan and Nystatin, which is sufficient to avoid possible problems with the absorption of the drugs. Enterol, as a probiotic, can be used simultaneously or after antibiotic treatment, although it is often administered after an antibiotic to help restore normal intestinal microflora.

In the case of severe tongue coating and the use of Nystatin, it is worth continuing the therapy as directed by the doctor, and if in doubt, consult the doctor again.
