Can the Evra contraceptive patch not be effective if it is applied unevenly and am I protected after unprotected sex?

I'm afraid that the patch stopped working, unprotected intercourse was yesterday, Usually we always take it out when it is about to ejaculate, but we decided to try inside.
Now I am afraid that I am not protected.

The patch has been applied to the wrong place on the skin and its effect may not be preserved.

If you have intercourse while wearing it, there is a risk of pregnancy.

The Evra patch should be applied to clean, dry, hairless and undamaged skin, preferably on the lower abdomen, buttocks, outside of the arm or upper back.

In this situation, the manufacturer recommends sticking a new patch and starting a new 4-week cycle. In addition, it is recommended to use an additional method of contraception for the next 7 days of the new cycle.

The patch is not applied properly - it does not adhere evenly to the skin, it sticks out both at the edges and in the central part. This can lower the amount of hormones released and thus reduce protection against pregnancy.

If the Evra patch is peeling off or has been badly applied in the last 48 hours, it should be replaced with a new one, which should be applied to cleansed and dried skin (preferably in a different area), and additional contraception is not necessary. After 48 hours and unprotected intercourse, it is recommended to use an additional contraceptive method or take a pregnancy test.

The Evra patch should be applied to clean, dry, hairless and undamaged skin, preferably on the lower abdomen, buttocks, outside of the arm or upper back. Applying the patch unevenly or on creamed or damp skin can reduce its adhesion and effectiveness. It is worth checking the patch regularly to make sure that it is working properly.
