Hello, at night, a few minutes after midnight, I took the last 21st Liberelle contraceptive pill. Around 3 a.m. I woke up with a sharp lump in my throat, which led to nausea and a severe cough. I would like to ask if such a situation could have affected the effectiveness of the pill if there was no vomiting, but the acute cough caused a large amount of saliva to be spat out and severe nausea with vomiting and regurgitation of food content into the throat?

To @Kasia:
Yes, the protection against pregnancy is maintained, you can start a 7-day break. Taking the pill less than 2 hours later than usual does not affect the effectiveness of contraception.
So can I start a 7-day break today? I would also like to ask if taking the last pill less than two hours after the standard time does not affect the start of the bleeding break?

No, this will not affect the effect of the contraceptive pill. There was no vomiting, so there is no risk that the drug did not have time to be absorbed (although 3 hours have passed since taking the tablet). There is no need for additional protection methods or emergency contraception.
