If the vaginal ring protrudes from the vagina, can its effectiveness be reduced?
13.00 zł

Hello, is the effectiveness of the ring reduced in the situation of protruding the end of the vaginal disc? I use discs and they slip off, I have to adjust them about 3 times a day and (it seems to me) that they stay in place for some time. I've never had a disc fall out yet, but I don't know if this situation should also worry me, or should I be worried about pregnancy?

As a rule, in order for contraceptive protection to be maintained, the contraceptive ring should be entirely in the vagina. Protruding the ring from the vagina can result in reduced protection (less contact with the vaginal mucosa) or increase the risk of the system falling out of the vagina. It is worth consulting a doctor - if necessary, he or she will recommend a different contraceptive method, which may be more convenient for you.
