Why is one eye watery and slightly foggy after blepharoplasty, despite the use of lubricating eye drops?

Hello, I have a problem with watery one eye, sometimes it seems to me that it is slightly foggy, I have had brepharoplasty, but I don't know if it has anything to do with it, because a plastic surgeon is rather unfamiliar 🤔 with it, lubricating eye drops do not work

After blepharoplasty, temporary symptoms such as excessive tearing, dryness or eye fog may occur, which is quite common and usually temporary.

However, if lubricating drops do not provide relief, it may be due to an obstruction or narrowing of the tear ducts, which makes it difficult for tears to drain, which is possible after surgery in the eye area. Other possible causes include inflammation, mechanical irritation (e.g. the presence of a foreign body or curling of the eyelashes) or infection, which may require ophthalmological consultation and specialist treatment.

In this situation, I encourage you to consult your ophthalmologist again for a thorough diagnosis, which may include testing the patency of the tear ducts and assessing the surface of the eye to select the appropriate treatment. In the meantime, you can use warm compresses and rinsing the eye with saline, but do not delay the visit of a specialist.
