If I have a contraceptive implant, can I take a pregnancy test? Will there be a falsified pregnancy test?

Amenorrhea during the use of a contraceptive implant is a completely normal phenomenon and results from the hormonal action of the implant. The implant can cause irregular bleeding, spotting, or complete amenorrhea in some women. About 20% of women may not have menstruation throughout the entire time they are using the implant, which does not mean health problems or contraceptive ineffectiveness.
However, if the lack of menstruation persists for a long time or other worrying symptoms appear, it is worth consulting a doctor. After the implant is removed, the menstrual cycle usually returns to normal in the next cycle.
