Pecto Drill syrup should not be given immediately before bedtime, as it dilutes the secretion that needs to be coughed up, and lying down can make it difficult to remove.

It is recommended that the last dose be taken at least 1-3 hours before bedtime, and in children up to 4 hours earlier to avoid mucus in the airways when lying down. It is also important to wash it down with water after administering the syrup and not to use it together with cough suppressants.
