Is there an effective steroid-free cream for mycosis if I'm afraid to use Travocort because of the side effects of steroids?
I have mycosis of the face and the dermatologist prescribed me travocort cream to use twice a day for 2 weeks. However, I have some concerns because it contains steroids, and on my face I am afraid to take it because I already have dry and thin facial skin, sea cause many side effects: stretch marks, thinning of the skin, discoloration, is there any other cream without steroids that would get rid of this mycosis

Travocort contains steroids that can cause side effects, especially with thin and dry facial skin, such as thinning of the skin or discoloration. However, the steroids in this cream help reduce inflammation and itching, which often accompanies ringworm. If your doctor has prescribed it for a short period of 2 weeks, the risk of side effects is lower, but it is worth watching your skin and not using it for longer than recommended.
If you are concerned about steroid use, it is worth consulting a dermatologist again, who can prescribe an antifungal medication alone without steroids, such as creams containing clotrimazole or miconazole.
