Can a 5-year-old child be given Tasectan if they have diarrhoea or vomiting after Zentel?
Hey, we have been recommended to deworm with zentel. Once 20 ml and then after 2 weeks repeat. I read about diarrhea and vomiting. If they occur after this drug, can a child at the age of 5 be given tasectan, e.g. ?

Yes, Tasectan can be given to a child at the age of 5 in case of diarrhoea after Zentel – it is a preparation that has a protective effect on the intestinal mucosa. Vomiting and diarrhoea are possible side effects of albendazole (the active ingredient in Zentel), but they usually resolve on their own. In case of severe symptoms, you should take care of proper hydration and consult a doctor.
