Does taking a contraceptive pill one hour and 3 hours later than usual affect its effectiveness?
12.99 zł

Yesterday (Sunday) evening I took a tablet of Axia Conti three hours later than usual. On Friday, I also took the pill an hour later than usual. Reading the leaflet, it is written that there is no problem with protection in such cases, because it is preserved.
In addition, we secure each intercourse with a condom, but still somewhere in the back of my mind I have doubts that maybe these several-hour "breaks" can cause a reduction in the protection.

Taking the contraceptive pill three hours and/or one hour later than usual does not affect its contraceptive effectiveness.
It is important to take the medication every day, at about the same time. Take the next tablets at the same time as usual.

The contraceptive protection of the medicine may be reduced if the delay in taking the pill is greater than 24 hours. In this case, follow the instructions in the leaflet (the procedure varies depending on the day of the cycle on which you missed the tablet).
