Does using the toilet one hour after taking the contraceptive pill affect its protection?
12.99 zł

My question is about birth control pills. Due to the missed pill (third row), I finished the rest of the active pills from this blister and left the placebo and immediately took the pills from the new pack. Today was the second day of pills from the new packaging. I took the pill a little over an hour ago. Now I had to use the toilet, no diarrhea. Will the protection be maintained?

Using the toilet after taking the contraceptive pill does not affect its contraceptive effectiveness.

The contraceptive effect of the drug may be impaired if diarrhoea occurs within 3-4 hours of taking the pill (diarrhoea is defined as passing stool with an excessively loose consistency and increased frequency - 3 or more times a day).

Continue to take the tablets every day at about the same time. Contraceptive protection should be maintained.
