Letrox should be administered with caution in patients with a history of epilepsy, as these patients are at increased risk of seizures. Epilepsy as a disease entity is not a contraindication to the use of levothyroxine. It is also worth remembering that some antiepileptic drugs (e.g. Phenytoin, Carbamazepine) interact with Letrox, so the simultaneous use of these drugs requires adjustment of the doses for the treatment to be effective.
