Energamma tablets, which contain cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), should be taken whole with water. Crushing them is not recommended, as this can affect the effectiveness of the drug and its absorption in the body.

The crushed preparation may not be absorbed as it should. The pill is designed to reach the stomach, and sometimes further to the intestines, where the substance to be absorbed is released. By crushing the tablets, we lead to a situation where some of the active substance settles for some time in the throat and esophagus. It is also exposed to hydrochloric acid from the stomach and digestive enzymes for longer. It follows that such a procedure may affect the absorption and effective action of the preparation.

If you have difficulty swallowing tablets, it is worth consulting your doctor to discuss alternative forms of vitamin B12, such as injections or other oral preparations.
