My child is 8 years old. They did a test on the third day of temperament. He showed flu B. They prescribed syrup in the throat and that's it. On the fourth day, there was no fever, only a cough with nasal congestion remained. After 1.5 days, the temperature rose again. We went to the hospital, prescribed medicine for the flu and changed orphans. After the first pill, the child vomited and sluggish. Will this treatment help now?

Tamivil (oseltamivir) is an antiviral medicine used to treat influenza, but in some children it can cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting or lethargy. If your child vomited shortly after taking the tablet, the medicine may not be absorbed, which may reduce its effect. It is worth consulting a doctor whether to continue treatment or change the method of administration (e.g. administered after a meal or in the form of a suspension). If the lethargy intensifies or other worrying symptoms appear, you should contact your doctor again.
