Escitalopram (an SSRI) and Nurofen (ibuprofen, NSAIDs) can be used together, however there is an increased risk of side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding. If concomitant use is necessary, it is advisable to avoid long-term ibuprofen intake and to consider a stomach shield (e.g. proton pump inhibitors).
It is advisable to consult a doctor, especially in the case of coagulation disorders, peptic ulcer disease or other risk factors.
