I started using nuvaRing rings and put the first one on the 7th day of the cycle. I know that for the first week of the cycle I should also use other methods of contraception, but should I do it only during the first cycle of using the discs or every time after inserting the disc again?

The use of the first ring on the 7th day of the cycle requires the use of additional contraception in the form of a condom throughout the first cycle, i.e. for the entire first month (3 weeks with the ring and a week of bleeding break).
After 3 weeks, a 7-day break for bleeding should be taken, then a new ring should be applied.
Since you used the first disc on the 7th day of the cycle, bleeding or spotting may occur while wearing the disc, then do not remove the disc, but use it despite bleeding/spotting. The situation should adjust with the next album.
With subsequent rings, the protection is already maintained and there is no need to use a condom.
