Oseltamivir will not affect the effect of hormonal contraception. There is no need to use additional protection methods during the treatment.
Information contained in the summary of product characteristics:
"The pharmacokinetic properties of oseltamivir, such as low protein binding and CYP450 and glucuronidase-independent metabolism, suggest that clinically significant drug interactions mediated by these mechanisms are unlikely."
