No, Fluanxone does not reduce the antidepressant effects of Anafranil. Rather, it is anticholinergic drugs (including tricyclic antidepressants) that can cancel out the therapeutic effects of antipsychotics.
However, this interaction does not occur very often with standard doses. Using both drugs at the same time can also cause excessive sedation, drowsiness, concentration disorders, and difficulty making intentional and precise movements. The risk of convulsions and cardiac arrhythmias also increases.
Avoid being in hot and humid climates, and if you have problems with your bowel movement, contact your doctor immediately.
