Hi, I put the patch on Sunday (16.02) since yesterday (19.02) I noticed that it started to peel off a bit on the sides as you can see in the photo, actually on the right side. Should it be changed, or is it working fine now?
My next patch change is Sunday (23.02)

The accumulation of dirt on the edges of the patch is normal and does not affect the effectiveness of contraception, unfortunately the patch then looks less aesthetically pleasing. It looks fine in the photo. However, if it does not adhere completely to the skin and begins to visibly peel off, this may affect the effectiveness of contraception. In this case, the procedure depends on how long the patch has been partially removed:
- up to 24 hours: immediately reapply the patch to the same area or apply a new patch. There is no need to use an additional method of contraception, and the next patch should be applied on the planned day.
- 24 hours or more, or if you have not noticed when it has come off: the effectiveness may be impaired - stop the current cycle and start a new cycle immediately. In this case, it is necessary to use a non-hormonal method of contraception (e.g. a condom) during the first 7 days of the new cycle.
