I'm 71 years old and is that all.to get a prescription for Juvit D3, because my doctor refuses to write me a prescription for it and says that I also have to do and pay for tests for the content of vitamin D3 in my body privately - and this costs much more than the drug itself.
Where is the truth in "free" medicines for seniors?

Juvit D3 is a reimbursed drug for the following indications:
- prevention of rickets in children,
- prevention of diseases when the risk of vitamin D deficiency has been found,
- treatment of rickets and osteomalacia, caused by vitamin D deficiency.
Prescribing Juvit D3 in the above indications on a prescription with the "S" (or "Dz" in the case of a pediatric indication) allows you to purchase the drug free of charge.
In the case of undiagnosed vitamin D3 deficiency (e.g. after determining the level of vitamin D3) or undiagnosed rickets and osteomalacia caused by vitamin D3 deficiency, the doctor will not prescribe the drug with an appropriate discount. Medicines can be free of charge for seniors when they are prescribed in the appropriate reimbursement indications, are on the published list of free 65+ medicines, and the prescription is properly issued. Age alone is not an indication for free medication.
I have attached a link to check the availability of the drug and make a reservation at the pharmacy of your choice:
