Will switching from Afobam to Xanax 0.5mg SR cause withdrawal effects?
12.99 zł

Hello.
I take Afobam 3x a day 0.25 sometimes 4 tablets. The doctor prescribed me Xanax 0.5 SR (prolonged action), my question is whether I will not have withdrawal effects if I now take 0.75mg to 1mg per day and the doctor prescribed me 0.5mg only with prolonged action per day?

Switching from Afobam to Xanax SR may be associated with a risk of withdrawal symptoms, especially if the current dose is higher than the prescribed dose of Xanax SR.

Withdrawal symptoms can include increased anxiety, sleep disturbances, restlessness, as well as headaches and muscle aches. To minimise the risk of withdrawal symptoms, close monitoring by your treating physician is recommended and gradual dose reduction is recommended if necessary.
