Amaryl (glimepiride) rarely causes hair loss, but there are reports of such a reaction. It's possible that hair loss is a side effect of medication or is due to other factors such as diabetes, nutrient deficiencies, or stress.
It is worth consulting an endocrinologist and possibly performing thyroid tests and iron and vitamin levels. If the condition of the hair improves after stopping the drug, it will be an additional argument for its effect on the problem.
