Can Gynoflor increase the risk of recurrent cervical stenosis after conization?
12.99 zł

Hello. I have complications after conization of the cervix, namely I have recurrent cervical stenosis - the doctor prescribed me the vaginal drug Gynoflor after another canal unblocking. Won't this drug cause another canal atresia because it has a regenerative effect? Please reply .

There is no evidence that the use of Gynoflor increases the risk of recurrence of cervical stenosis. However, it is crucial to monitor the condition of the cervix by a doctor and, if necessary, to take further measures to prevent its re-narrowing, e.g. periodic unblocking or other therapeutic methods.

Gynoflor works locally and its main purpose is to rebuild the microflora and regenerate the vaginal epithelium, not the cervix. This drug is used to restore the Lactobacillus acidophilus flora after treatment of infection, in menopause-related atrophic vaginosis, as well as as adjunct in hormone replacement therapy.
