Do I need to start a new package and use contraception for 7 days, or is it possible to take a break, that is, 7 days, and as I understand it, from the beginning of taking a new pill after a break, it will be possible not to protect yourself?

But my gynecologist wrote that a break could be taken, there was no withdrawal bleeding, and said to use contraception for 10 days :(

Correct procedure in case of missing a tablet in the last week of the cycle:
'If the pack currently used contains less than 7 tablets, the next pack of Belara should be started immediately after the last tablet of the pack currently used, i.e. without a tablet interval between packs. There is a likelihood that you will not experience withdrawal bleeding by the time the second pack is finished, however, there may be some minor bleeding or mid-cycle spotting on the days you take the tablets. If there is no withdrawal bleeding at the end of the second pack, a pregnancy test should be performed."
To sum up: in the described situation, you should not take a 7-day break for bleeding, but start a new package right away. The effectiveness of contraception will be maintained in such a situation.
