Avedol (carvedilol) is a beta-blocker that can cause a dry cough and dry throat in some patients, though this is less common than with ACE inhibitors.

If symptoms persist or worsen, it is worth consulting a doctor who may consider changing the treatment. In the meantime, humidifying the air and drinking more fluids can help.

I encourage you to report the symptoms you experience to your doctor, as well as to report the occurrence of an adverse effect of the preparation.
