Hello, I would like to ask how long I should keep the dressing that was put on today around 11:00 a.m. on the injured thumb next to the hand, next to which there was a cut of the fingertip of about 4 mm.

And if the dressing is stuck to the wound, can I then put it in lukewarm water so that it peels off so that I can apply a new one?

The frequency of dressing changes depends, m.in on the amount of exudate. If the dressing is dirty and there is significant exudate, you can safely change it. If the dressing is unsoiled and there is little or no exudate, you can change it even after 1 to 3 days.
Regular dressing changes allow for a quick reaction if the wound no longer heals properly.
If the dressing sticks to the wound, you can use clean water or saline. Saline is available in online and stationary pharmacies, such as:
