Debutir contains sodium butyrate, which can irritate the lining of the esophagus, especially in people with gastroesophageal reflux. The capsules, if not swallowed with adequate water, may dissolve too early, causing local irritation. It is worth taking the drug with plenty of fluids and possibly consult a doctor in case of persistent ailments.
