Good morning. I have a question about evra patches. If I put on 1 patch at 6 p.m., each next one must also be applied at 6 p.m., and on the day when I should take it off for my period, it should also be 6 p.m.? And if I put on the patch at 6 p.m. and drank a lot of alcohol at 7 p.m., would it reduce the protection and effectiveness of anticoception?

Yes, you can. Alcohol consumption, including flavoured beers, has no effect on the effectiveness of the contraceptive implant, which has a high success rate of around 99.5%.

Evra patches should always be applied/peeled off at a similar time - it does not have to be exactly 6 p.m., you can apply the patch a little earlier or later. Alcohol consumption (even in large amounts) does not affect the effectiveness of the contraceptive protection of Evra patches.
