Hello, I have a sensitive and normalized intestine, I took Dih and after an hour abdominal pain, increased peristalsis, bloating, gas, pain .after a few hours diarrhea, I read that the shell contains Macrogol, which is a composition of laxative drugs. Could this be the cause of the exacerbation of diarrhea, how is Macrogol in the drug, if it is for constipation . Misunderstanding

Macrogol, which is a component of the DIH coating, acts as an excipient that facilitates the absorption process of the drug and improves its solubility. In this context, Macrogol acts as an adjunct to enable an even release of the active ingredient in DIH, diosmin. Although it is usually used to treat constipation, in small amounts it can act as a "carrier" in the formulation, without causing a laxative effect, unless the person has a hypersensitivity to this ingredient. In the case of intestinal sensitivity, however, this can lead to unwanted symptoms such as diarrhea.
In people with irritable bowel syndrome and/or SIBO or other gastrointestinal problems, Macrogol may cause symptoms such as bloating, diarrhoea or abdominal pain to worsen. Although Macrogol is commonly used to treat constipation, in some cases its laxative effect can be too intense, leading to diarrhea.
In this situation, I encourage you to consult a doctor who will be able to adjust the treatment to your needs, as well as check whether DIH is appropriate in this case.
