Can eating a flaxseed bar weaken the effectiveness of birth control pills?

Good morning
Could eating a candy bar 2 hours after taking birth control pills, perhaps containing flaxseed, reduce the effect of the pills? I realized only after a few days that some grains could have been contained in a given bar

Since such a bar contains a small amount of flax seeds, there is no reason to worry. The effect of the pills will be preserved even if you eat it just before or immediately after taking the contraceptive pill.

Protection could be reduced if you consumed, for example, 2-3 teaspoons of flaxseed or an infusion of ground flax seeds – then a coating layer forms in the digestive tract, which can hinder the absorption of drugs – a 2-3 hour interval between these products and drugs is recommended.

In your case, there was no such threat, thanks to which protection is provided at all times.

I will only add that these are baked bars

User questions and answers that provide feedback about products are not verified for the purchase or use of the product. Companies often order anonymous comments to form positive opinions about their products, or negative ones about competitors. Therefore, be guided by the information in the pharmacists' responses in the first place.
