Can swelling of the foot with a lump (no injury) be a side effect of the antibiotic Amotaks?
My husband took amotaxis 1g for six days, at night his foot began to hurt, which began to swell and formed on the back a lump under the skin, I will add that my husband did not suffer any injury. Is this a side effect of an antibiotic?

Swelling of the foot with a palpable lump (especially without injury) is an unlikely side effect of amoxicillin (Amotax).
These types of symptoms may indicate a local infection, an allergic reaction, gout, or another orthopedic or inflammatory condition. I encourage you to immediately consult your doctor in order to assess the change and possibly implement treatment.
