Congratulations! I have pituitary adenoma. I took dostinex for three years, the tumor did not decrease, prolactin ranged from 100 to 200. They did an operation, it was not possible to remove everything, unfortunately, so again the level of prolactin went up. Again, dostinex was prescribed and there is no effect from it, only a lot of side effects. MRI showed that the treatment did not work. Is there a stronger drug for dostinex? Thanks!

Hello, may I ask what side effects it was for you? I've been taking Dostinex for 3 years now and I'm having more and more problems. LG

Any observed discomfort related to the drug used and no noticeable effects of treatment should be reported to the doctor immediately. It is the doctor, having full information about your test results, health condition and medications used, who is able to suggest possible therapeutic procedures that may turn out to be safer and more effective in your case. Each body reacts differently to the drugs used, so it is difficult to determine which preparations will prove to be more effective. An individual approach and assessment of the doctor is necessary here. Other drugs used to treat pituitary adenoma are, for example, bromocriptine and quinagolide (better tolerated than bromocriptine).
