I started another pack of tablets 6 days after the break and there was a brown discharge - is this normal?

Good afternoon !
I have been taking birth control pills for six months now, a situation happened that after a break of 7 days I could not take a prescription for pills, because it was a holiday. I was without them for 6 days and started taking them again, after that the discharge began to turn light brown. I'm starting to worry

In the situation described, it would be better to wait one cycle until menstruation occurs and start taking the tablets on the first day of bleeding. You can also start the contraceptive pill between 2 and 5 days, but then you should use additional protection methods for a week. Starting the drug later is not recommended - cycle disorders may occur, e.g. mid-cycle spotting (which you are currently observing). It is also difficult to assess the effectiveness of the preparation. If the symptoms intensify or also occur in the next cycle, you should consult a gynecologist.

In case of any doubts, I encourage you to use the teleconsultation with a gynaecologist - the service is available on our website in the e-visit tab:
