Ryeqo should be started as directed by your doctor, usually on the first day of menstrual bleeding. Spotting instead of typical bleeding may be a normal reaction of the body to start hormone therapy. The drug starts working from the first tablet, but it may take several weeks for the full effects to take effect.

Ryeqo is not a contraceptive drug. It is a preparation used mainly to treat the symptoms of moderate to severe uterine fibroids, such as heavy menstrual bleeding or pain. Although Ryeqo contains hormonal components (relugolix, estradiol and norethisterone acetate), its main purpose is not to prevent pregnancy.

Don't stop therapy on your own, and if in doubt, it's always a good idea to consult your doctor, who can provide more personalized advice.
