Will the anise contained in chocolates (I ate a few) interfere with the effects of Orlifique tablets?

Good morning
I ate a few chocolates from the photo and only then I realized that there is anise in the composition - as a spice. Now she should take the Orlifice tablet. Will the anise contained in chocolate interfere with the effect of contraception? Should she take an extra pill even later?

You can exceptionally take the contraceptive pill one hour later than usual (this will not reduce the effectiveness of Orlifique). I think that the amounts of anise in the candies are so small that they do not threaten the effectiveness of the drug even if you took the pill immediately.

I forgot to add that I ate these chocolates a moment ago, so there will be a short time interval from the pill.

No, eating small amounts of anise products at a time will not cause contraceptive pill dysfunction. More information can be found in the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-jedzenie-i-picie-obnizaja-skutecznosc-antykoncepcji I have quoted the relevant excerpt below:

"Anise and fennel – these are substances that have been used as estrogens for centuries. They were believed to have a beneficial effect on lactation, menstruation, facilitate childbirth, alleviate the symptoms of male menopause and increase libido. Due to their estrogen-like properties, consuming significant amounts of the above-mentioned substances can negatively affect the effectiveness of contraception. For this reason, it is recommended to avoid drinking anise infusions or using fennel seeds. Of course, we are talking about significant amounts of spices, consumed in a short period of time after hormonal contraception. Occasionally drinking anise tea, dill tea, or eating anise candies (especially with an appropriate time break) will not reduce the effectiveness of the drug."
