20.00 zł

Hello,
after the laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis, the doctor prescribed 3 months of vissana tablets in addition to the mirena, which was inserted 1 and a half years ago. Do you think it can be combined and is it safe? Thank you for your answer

This combination can be used during convalescence after surgery in women with endometriosis.

Mirena contains levonorgestrel, which has a strong anti-estrogenic effect on the endometrium, causes endometrial atrophy and amenorrhea with preserved ovulation. Unfortunately, due to the fact that ovulation is not inhibited, there is a greater probability of developing endometrial foci within the ovaries than in the case of other preparations.
The use of Visanne is then highly recommended. The drug contains dienogest, the action of which is associated with the reduction of endometriosis foci. Which is desirable in this case.
