Since you are most likely just before ovulation, it may not be stopped after a week of using the patch. Therefore, it is recommended to use additional contraception for the entire first cycle of wearing the patches.
The best solution would be to apply the first patch on the first day of your natural menstrual period.
I also found information that if you stick the patch at any time during the cycle, you only need to protect yourself for a week. And now I don't know which theory is more likely.

Sticking the first patch 2 weeks before the planned menstrual period (i.e. on any day of the cycle) will result in the protection not being provided from the first day of using contraception.
If you apply the first patch now (i.e. in the middle of the cycle), you should use an additional condom for the entire first cycle of using the patches - for 4 weeks. Only when using the patches from the next package will the protection be fully ensured. Applying the patch on any day of the cycle also increases the risk of bleeding and mid-cycle spotting - i.e. when you have a patch applied.
If you apply the first patch on the first day of your physiological menstrual period, you are already protected from the first day of using the patch. Then there is no need to use an additional form of protection in the form of a condom.
So, consider which option is more beneficial for you before you decide to apply the plaster.

Yes, according to the manufacturer's information, Inadine can be trimmed. Please do this with sterile scissors and tightly secure the remaining part and use it as soon as possible, as its properties may be weakened after opening and storage.
It is also worth consulting a doctor to make sure that this will be effective and safe for wound healing. If you need more personalized advice, you can use teleconsultations here:
