Can I reduce the time I take placebo pills by 1 day?

Can I reduce the time I take placebo pills by 1 day? Instead of 7 green placebo pills, I would like to take 1 white one from the new daily blister. Will contraception be preserved? And should I take the new packaging as I should?
Can I also shorten the placebo pills by one or two next time?

Yes, you can shorten your intake of placebo pills. The new packaging should be used according to the schedule, the effectiveness of contraception is maintained. Placebo tablets can be skipped, but should not be taken for more than the next 3 cycles. Skipping placebo pills increases the risk of mid-cycle spotting.
