Diarrhea is one of the side effects that can occur when taking Pylera.
Antidiarrheal drugs that can be taken while using Pylera include:
- Enterol: the S. boulardii yeast contained in it has been proven to prevent diarrhea during antibiotic therapy
- Smecta, which contains diosmectite, stabilizes the mucus layer and protects mucosal cells from irritants, has strong adsorption properties against enterotoxins, bacteria and viruses, and strengthens the barrier formed by the intestinal mucosa. Please note that Smecta, due to its adsorption properties, may have an adverse effect on the absorption of the substance, therefore a 2-hour interval between taking Smecta and other medicines is recommended.
