What are the differences between Nutridrink and Fresubin, especially in the context of meal replacement?

Hello, is there a difference between nutridrink and fresubin. In terms of calories, they are the same if you take into account the whole drink, one and the other. But is it true that nutridrink replaces a meal and fresubin doesn't work that way? Due to the amount of protein? I only compared in terms of calories, but is it enough?

The choice between Nutridrink normal and Nutridrink protein for an elderly person with dementia and thrombocythemia who eats meals in small amounts should be thought out due to specific nutritional and health needs. It is best to consult such a decision with a dietician. At the following link you can seek advice from a specialist and make an appointment for a teleconsultation:

Nutridrink normal may be a better choice because it offers a balanced diet without overloading the body with protein. However, if your doctor recommends increasing your protein intake due to your medical condition, Nutridrink protein may be suitable.

Nutridrink and Fresubin are two popular nutritional preparations that differ in terms of composition and use. Nutridrink Protein, due to its high protein content (about 18 g per 125 ml), is often used as a meal replacement, which makes it suitable for people who require increased protein intake (e.g. cancer patients).

Fresubin, on the other hand, also provides high calories (about 400 kcal per 200 ml), but its composition can be more varied depending on the specific version (e.g. Fresubin Protein Energy Drink - a high-energy and high-protein diet, ). Fresubin is more flexible in its use, as some of its formulas can be used as the sole source of nutrition, making it suitable for patients with different dietary needs.

If you want to compare these two products, it can be concluded that Nutridrink Protein and Fresubin Protein Energy Drink can be treated as substitutes.

It is worth remembering that the choice of the right preparation should be tailored to the individual needs of the patient and consulted by medical specialists.
