Can I open a Miovelia PCOS capsule if I have trouble swallowing it?

A gynaecologist recommended Miovelia PCOS for the disappearance of menstruation and insulin resistance. However, I can't take the capsule. Would it be very harmful to open it?

If you are not able to swallow the capsules whole, then yes – you can open them. However, please make sure not to spill the contents during this process, but to take the entire dose.

Some specialists believe that such a preparation may not be absorbed as it should. The capsule is designed to reach the stomach and sometimes further to the intestines and release the substance to be absorbed there. By opening the capsules, we lead to a situation where some of the active substance settles for some time in the throat and esophagus. It is also exposed to hydrochloric acid from the stomach and digestive enzymes for longer. It follows that such a procedure may affect the absorption and effective action of the preparation.

It is always worth consulting such a procedure with a doctor and discussing alternative forms of therapy. If you are not able to make a face-to-face visit, I attach a link to the online teleconsultation:
