What is the maximum dosage of the drug Medikinet CR?

The doctor prescribed me medikinet cr 60 mg, 2 capsules a day. I'm afraid it's too much after reading the information from the manufacturer. Are my fears justified?

According to the summary of product characteristics, the daily dose of Medikinet CR is 1 mg per kg body weight, up to a maximum of 80 mg/day. The dose of the drug is determined individually. Taking too much of this medicine may cause symptoms such as vomiting, feeling agitated, shaking, increased involuntary movements, muscle tremors, seizures (which may be followed by coma), feeling extremely happy, disoriented, seeing, feeling or hearing things that are not there (hallucinations), sweating, flushing, headache, high fever.

If you receive a recommendation to use the drug in a total dose of 120 mg, I encourage you to consult your doctor again. If necessary, you can also use teleconsultation, e.g. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:
