Elidel is an anti-inflammatory preparation. The drug acts on skin cells that cause inflammation manifested by redness and itching. The manufacturer recommends the use of Elidel in atopic dermatitis. The use of the drug in perioral inflammation should be based on the recommendation of the attending physician.
