Is the Lerivon 30 mg dosage appropriate?
Hello, my adult son has autism, intellectual disability, he is diagnosed with depression. He has huge trouble sleeping. He was given Lerivon to improve sleep, immediately at a dose of 30 mg, and after a week 60 mg. He takes this medicine for the 9th day, and it doesn't help him sleep at all. Aren't these doses too high? I read that Lerivon for sleep is 10-15 mg.

According to the Lerivon dossier, the use of the drug in adults starts at 30 mg per day, the dose can be increased to 60-90 mg per day. Depending on the patient's health condition, the doctor selects the appropriate dosage, it does not always have to be in accordance with generally accepted recommendations. Usually, the therapeutic effect of Lerivon is observed 2-4 weeks after the start of treatment. If after this time, you do not observe the effect of the preparation, you should consult your attending physician.
